Hello friends and family!! This is my first time blogging EVER and I am excited to share our families little adventures with you :)
So as of tomorrow we are moving into our first beautiful new home in Eagle Mountain Utah!! As most of you know that in July, Josh got a new job in Lehi and we packed our little one bedroom apartment in Huntington Beach, California saying good bye to wonderful friends and family. It was hard to leave everyone and everything that we grew to love, the warm constant weather, living 5 miles from the beach, and lots of shopping!! But we were ready to move on, we knew moving was the best for our little family. We were over the horrible traffic, paying way too much for rent for a one bedroom and having my sons room pretty much in the kitchen!! We know we made the right choice moving to Utah. The schools are great and young families everywhere and never thought I would say this but I have missed the snow these past 5 years! The best part is Josh really loves his job and we hopefully can add another addition to our lil family in the near future.
These past few months have been extremely hard for both of us. We were looking and found the perfect house in July and put in an offer. We feel in love with this house as soon as we walked in the door. Its has high ceilings, fireplace, open kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and 2 1/2 baths and the thing that sold us was a beautiful backyard on the edge of a golf course and perfect view of the mountains! Until we closed the house Josh was living in our parents trailer in Sandy as Brayden and myself lived in Cedar City with my parents. Closing out the house was a nightmare, we had plumbing issues that ruined most of the carpet and to fix it had to take out our kitchen ceiling! So glad that's over! Only seeing each other on the weekends for 2 months was killing us but it also has made us stronger. Brayden missed his daddy so much and being so young it was interesting to see how much he loves his daddy, it melts my heart, I love my boys.
We are so excited to become a family again and move into our first home! My dad and husband have been working on putting in new tile and I can't wait to see the finished product tomorrow when the put in the carpet too! I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve again and not being able to sleep because I am so excited!! Thank you to all our friends and family for the wedding gifts and gift cards to make our dream home even better.
Well this is the Morton Family signing out and we would rather communicate through blogging other than facebook, more privacy here. Thanks again and keep in touch!!
